www.africa-photo.com offers one-stop shopping for africa digital photos. There are no access or subscription fees.
You are charged only for:
-- The photos you license for usage,
-- ISDN-transmission and CD-ROM delivery,
-- late cancellations of a license.
Once you have established your customer account and agreed to our conditions for using our material, you can download high resolution pictures. (Our service representative will verify your billing information and establish your account within 24 hours of registration. If you need to have the account established sooner, contact us).

Prices:
Delivery of licensed high resolution pictures
In the event that the user does not ultimately use the picture(s), transfer fees will still be paid. We retain the right to alter these prices according to the development in the market. The user will be informed of any such changes in advance.
Cancellation Fees
Licenses can be cancelled without penalty during the first five days after agreeing to a licence and a licence fee. A $ 25 / EURO 25 service fee will be charged for any orders cancelled 6-15 days after licensing. For licences cancelled after 15 days, you will be charged the full fee agreed upon for your intended usage. To cancel an order, you must contact www.africa-photo.com.
Viewing Fees
The viewing of thumbnail (50K), preview (200K) and the download of full-size (700 k) pictures for "comp" use is free.

photo licence fees depend on usage and. you purchase the specific rights you need for your project.
usage falls into three major categories:
1. electronic publishing
2. print publishing
3. products.
1. electronic publishing
electronic publishing is a combination of words and pictures that is viewed on a screen or monitor.

world wide web page and on-line service presentation rates are determined by
the following criteria:
a) site type
editorial - usage within a site that does not promote, advertise or provide
information about a specific product, service or business.
commercial - usage within a site that promotes, advertises or provides information about a product, service or business.
b) placement of the picture
home page - the first or primary page on a web site; may contain links to
secondary pages.
Secondary page - Pages that are reached by links from the home page or other secondary pages. Price Calculator
c) Number of Sites
Each use of the same commercial placement or editorial article at more than
one Web site or online service area is counted as an additional site; the
total number of sites must be included in the license. If purchased at the
time of the original licensing, the base price is increased by the
percentage indicated below. To add sites after purchasing a license, please
contact www.africa-photo.com.

Internal Presentation Fees:
Internal presentation use includes slide presentations, computer slide show presentations, multimedia, etc., which are viewed within an organization and are not published externally or produced for resale. Picture file sizes of 200 kilobytes, 700 kilobytes, and 8-9 megabytes are available for licensing.
Television Editorial Fees
Television editorial is used by a producer to support or illustrate a story that is broadcast electronically (Prices see download-licencing- area)
2. Print Publishing
Print publishing - a combination of words and pictures that is viewed on paper - for example brochures, magazines, newspapers, internal publications, etc.
Editorial - Print publishing expressing an opinion and disseminating information. For example: textbooks, newspapers, magazines, annual reports and internal publications.
Advertising - Print publishing promoting a product, service or company. Examples include brochures, FSIs, POP ads, magazine ads, newspaper ads, packaging, billboards and external publications.
3. Products
Licence fees for the use of pictures for products vary greatly. Generally, the more products are distributed and the more prominent the photo usage, the higher the fee. To determine the exact fee for product usage, please select a photo. If there are no general agreements between your company and www.africa-photo.com or Christoph & Friends/Das Fotoarchiv., we need your licencing information sent to www.africa-photo.com. A www.africa-photo.com representative will come back to you with personal licencing information as soon as possible.
